The street in which the apartment is located - Calle Antonio Ferrandiz - is on the western edge of Nerja beside the valley of the (usually dry) Rio Chillar. Three of Nerja's beaches (El Playazo , El Chucho and La Torrecilla) are within a few minutes’ walk of the apartment. It is close to the footpaths along the River Chillar and a short distance from a nearby supermarket and school. The wide pedestrian walkway at the side of the building leads to an easy, level walk to reach the shopping streets and centre of Nerja.

Edificio Maravillas del Chillar 1 is a-small 4-storey building containing 17 apartments. It has a lift and staircase to the first, second and third floors. There are stairs from the third floor to the roof which is a communal area with loungers for sun-bathing, a 5 metre x 2 metre "splash" pool and panoramic views.

Apartment 2B occupies the North-West corner of the second floor and some rooms have mountain views. There are views to the sea and mountains from the balcony. The apartment was completed in June 2002. It is light and airy with high ceilings, marble-tile floors and principally white decor. All windows are double-glazed and there are external blinds on the bedroom windows and the sliding doors to the balcony.

The apartment is equipped for up to four persons. It has two bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds.. At one end of the living room is a lounge area leading to the balcony with a round folding-table and chairs. At the opposite end of the living room is the dining area with a round, glass-topped table and sideboard. There is a large hatch opening to the kitchen. Kitchen equipment includes marble worktops,  stainless steel sink, a 4-ring ceramic hob with extractor fan, a table-top oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge-freezer and washing machine.

The bathroom has a bath with mixer-tap shower, washbasin, WC and bidet.

The apartment has an electric hot-water cylinder, vacuum cleaner, television, steam iron and a hair drier.
